Krewe Du Pooch, founded in 2020 by the Old Mandeville Business Association and the City of Mandeville, is a great way to support local businesses and animal rescue organizations on the Northshore. Every year, this fun dog walking parade and costume contest takes place on the Mandeville Lakefront with themes like "Puppy Love", "Dressed to the #9s" (a nod to #9 Drew Brees and Joe Burrow), “Go Dog Go and other Dr. Seuss favorites!” Costume prizes are awarded for Best in Theme (Male/Female), Best Dressed Duo (Pet/Owner Look Alike), Most Creative Float, and Pack Pick (Best Coordination of Dog, Float, Walkers). The event also features celebrity judges, pet adoptions, vendors, food, drinks, and activities for the whole family including a children's area sponsored by Children's Museum of St. Tammany and Keep Madeville Beautiful.
