  • The Krewe of Pooch starts on the corner of Lakeshore Drive and Foy Street in Mandeville.
  • The krewe then heads north west along Lakeshore passing the costume contest viewing stands.
  • The parade continues down Lakeshore Drive until passing Laffite St.
  • The parade ends between Lafitte and Carrol, where the parts begins.

Krewe Du Pooch, founded in 2020 by the Old Mandeville Business Association and the City of Mandeville, is a great way to support local businesses and animal rescue organizations on the Northshore. Every year, this fun walking parade and costume contest takes place on the Mandeville Lakefront with themes like "Dressed to the #9s" (a nod to #9 Drew Brees and Joe Burrow),“Go Dog Go and other Dr. Seuss favorites!” Costume prizes are awarded for Best in Theme (Male/Female), Best Dressed Duo (Pet/Owner Look Alike), Most Creative Float, and Pack Pick (Best Coordination of Dog, Float, Walkers). The event also features a free live concert from 2-5 p.m. featuring Four Unplugged, pet adoptions, vendors, food, drinks and activities for the whole family.
