- The Funky Uptown Krewe follows the Phunny Phorty Phellows on a streetcar at the Willow Streetcar Bar on S. Carrollton. From there, the krewe rides the streetcar down S. Carrollton to St. Charles Avenue.
- The streetcar makes Lee Circle to Canal before heading back down St. Charles.
- The streetcar then heads back down St. Charles to S. Carollton—where they end at Willow Streetcar Barn.
The Funky Uptown Krewe rolls on a St. Charles Streetcar a few blocks behind the Phunny Phorty Phellows on Twelfth Night. In its first year, 2019, the krewe members tossed custom-made CDs featuring songs by New Orleans bands including Bonerama, The Hot 8 Brass Band and Cowboy Mouth. Rapper Mannie Fresh DJ’d the party and DJ Soul Sister was also onboard for the inaugural event.
