Krewe of Endymion to feature Luke Bryan

December 8 2014

Mardi Gras is just around the corner, and the big event is going to be even bigger this year! One of New Orleans biggest parades, the Krewe of Endymion, will feature a nighttime performance from one of country music’s hottest stars, Luke Bryan. The parade will roll through the street of New Orleans February 14 (yep, Valentine’s Day, ladies!) with the country crooner taking the stage right after.

The award-winning super star was named American Country Music “Entertainer of the Year.” He’s also won “Top Male Artist” and “Top Country Artist” by Billboard Music Awards this year.

Bryan is no stranger to Louisiana—he’s performed at Bayou Country Superfest three times, most recently this year.

City officials estimate some 20,000 revelers will turn out for the event at the Superdome. Dolly Parton and Roy Orbison were the first two country stars to take the stage following the Super Krewe’s annual throw down in 1988. Other major country artists have included including Kenny Rogers, LeAnn Rimes, Big & Rich and last year’s performance by Carrie Underwood.
