John C. Reilly Will Reign as Bacchus XLVI

With Mardi Gras three short months away, we have an exciting announcement about one of New Orleans premiere parades. According to Fox 8, actor/comedian John C. Reilly . The Academy Award-winning Reilly has appeared in more than 50 films, including three Oscar nominated films for Best picture.  

He won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in Chicago. Some of his other notable works include: Step Brothers, Talladega Nights: The Ballard of Ricky Bobby, and Wreck-It Ralph.

During this year’s theme of “Children’s Stories That Live Forever,” the Polar Express, Pinocchio, Winnie the Pooh and The Jungle Book are just a few of the floats you’ll see rolling through the streets. This year’s theme comes complete with special throws kids of all ages will love like: sidewalk chalk, Bacchus puzzles, lego-style blocks, and coloring books!

Bacchus features 30 of the best marching bands from all over such as the United States Marine Corp Band, Talladge College Marching Band, and South University Marching Band. Indianapolis race car drivers will also be a part of this coming year’s parade.

Bacchus will roll through the streets of New Orleans Sunday, February 15 at 5 p.m. The parade will start at the corner of Napoleon Avenue and Tchoupitoulas. The procession will continue through Uptown before ending at the Ernest N Morial Convention Center.
