A Whole Festival Dedicated to King Cake

January 17 2017

In New Orleans, we love food and any reason to celebrate, and Mardi Gras season has given us one more reason. That’s right, the second annual King Cake festival is happening Sunday, January 29. Bonus: Since the festival benefits children and their families receiving care at Oschner Hospital, you can enjoy every sinfully delicious bite!

It’s a time where friends, family, and strangers come together to celebrate one of the tasty treats Mardi Gras offers. Dozens of the best bakeries around town prepare their own unique recipes for festival goers to sample.

This family-friendly event also comes equipped with a kid’s zone. Wristbands for the kid’s zone are just $10 and include beverages, games, photo booth, prizes, and more. Purchase four bands and the fifth is free!

The free event is from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. in Champion Square on LaSelle Street. Or, become a VIP Club member for just $60, which includes an open bar and unlimited food.
