Krewe of Cleopatra

Founded in 1972, the Krewe Of Cleopatra celebrates their 40th anniversary by moving from the Westbank to the Eastbank. The all-female Krewe will kick off Mardi Gras season by marching along the traditional Uptown the route January 25th, the First Friday of Mardi Gras.
The Krewe named after the legendary Queen Of Egypt was the first all-female organization on the Westbank. The Krewe consists of 500 female riders.
Their motto is: "Her beauty is timeless, her age is now...forever!"
Please note that tickets are available for grandstand seating on St. Charles Avenue, but tickets are not required to see the parade. If you arrive early enough, you can claim a spot on the route with a blanket and some chairs.
