MARDI GRAS PARADE KREWES

Krewe of Gladiators

Mardi Gras Parade RoutesFounded in 1973, the Krewe of Gladiators takes its name from the Roman warriors, fabled in story and song for the bravery and strength. This traditionally 250 all-male krewe officially opens the St. Bernard Parish parade season, being one of only four parading organizations in this parish. Each year, in addition to their Grand Marshall and Empress, the gentlemen of Gladiators choose a sporting figure to be honored as their Caesar.
