Restaurants open during Mardi Gras 2014

February 18 2014

Finding a restaurant to open Mardi Gras can be tricky. Finding one without a line is almost impossible.

Still, if you can’t pack a lunch or if you need a place to grab dinner, here’s a list of restaurants open and/or offering specials on Lundi Gras and Fat Tuesday (March 3-4).

We’ll keep adding to the list as more restaurants confirm their schedules, so keep checking back to see the latest additions.

Restaurants open during Mardi Gras:

Bourbon Heat - Open and offering a special Mardi Gras package: $150 for balcony access (right on Bourbon Street), food from the buffet, and drinks

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. - Open with regular menu and full service bar.  (And since this is only 3 blocks from the Canal Street parade route, it's a good option to grab a quick sandwich on the way to and from parades.)

Court of Two Sisters - Open with regular menu

Crescent City Brewhouse – Open with regular menu

French Market Restaurant & Bar – Open with regular menu

Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant Open, but will be offering a specific Mardi Gras menu

Hard Rock Cafe - Open with regular menu

House of Blues - Open with a special menu (TBD) and free music in the Voodoo Garden. There will be face/body painters, as well as a tarot card reader to share with you your future. Better Than Ezra performs Saturday, March 1 and the Gospel Brunch kicks off things on Sunday.

Maison Bourbon Jazz Club - Open on Lundi Gras and Fat Tuesday.  For $25, customers can hang out in the upstairs venue with balcony (no food or drink). For $150, customers can get food and drinks in the Jazz Parlor, which has a balcony, from noon to 6 p.m.

Mulates Cajun Restaurant - Opening at 4 p.m. and serving regular menu

Rue Bourbon / Tony Moran’s - Open, but not serving from regular menu. Instead, customers can purchase a Mardi Gras package. The price depends on the package and time of day, as follows:
-  9 a.m. to 3 p.m.:  $250 and up
- 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.: $250 and up
- All Day (9 a.m. to 10 p.m.): $300 and up

Tujague’s – Open with regular menu

Zea Rotisserie and Grill on St. Charles Avenue - Open, but not serving from regular menu. Instead, customers can purchase a Mardi Gras package that includes continuous buffet, access to clean and fully stocked restrooms, one complimentary cocktail, and secured parking. Prices are subject to the parade and time, so call the business for details.

Again, this list will grow as restaurants confirm their schedules with us, so keep checking back for more listings!
